Elizabeth Whiteman is the Executive Secretary of the Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) Board and serves as the director of the FTZ staff at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Elizabeth joined the FTZ staff as an economist in 1998, primarily reviewing subzone and production applications. She also served as a regional representative and was responsible for providing outreach and education to the trade and other government agencies, as well as preparing the FTZ Board’s annual report to Congress.
