Explaining FTZ Value with Clarity and Confidence: A Practical Messaging Framework for Internal and External Communication

In today’s rapidly evolving trade environment, the ability to clearly explain the value of the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zone program—within your organization and externally—is more important than ever.
NAFTZ has been working to refine and simplify how U.S. FTZ messaging is communicated, building on concepts introduced at the 2025 Annual Conference. The result is a practical, easy-to-use framework designed to help members confidently communicate the benefits of U.S. FTZ participation in everyday business and policy discussions.
This session will focus on how Operators, Users, 3PLs, and Service Providers can apply this framework in real-world conversations with company leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
Topics will include:
  • How to clearly explain U.S. FTZ benefits in business terms
  • Practical language for internal and external conversations
  • Tools and resources being developed for member use
Consistent messaging across the U.S. FTZ community is critical to reinforcing the program’s value and addressing common misconceptions in the current policy environment.
