NAFTZ Membership Application

This membership type applies to a public or private entity, to which the Foreign-Trade Zones Board has granted the privilege of establishing, operating, and maintaining a foreign-trade zone or otherwise recognizes as a grantee; whose zone was established at least one year prior to its submission of its application for membership in the Association; and which has at least one operator active with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Dues for membership in this category are $1,250.00 per year for the designated member and $350.00 per year for each additional member.

An additional member to a current Grantee Designated member.

A corporation, partnership, or person: 1. processing, or currently pursuing approval to process, its own merchandise through a zone or subzone with the concurrence of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, even if some or all of that processing is outsourced, and whether or not under the terms of an agreement with a Grantee; (2) whose merchandise is processed by a third party through a public warehouse zone or subzone site, but which has no direct relationship with the Grantee; or (3) who operates a general purpose warehouse. Dues for membership in this category are $1,550.00 per year for the designated member and $350.00 per year for each additional member.

An additional member to a current Operator/User Designated member.

This membership applies to companies with a commercial interest in the Foreign-Trade Zones Program, but which do not process their own merchandise through an active zone project (e.g., attorneys, consultants, logistics, transportation and operating service providers, software providers, and 3PLs, ). Dues for membership in this category are $1,700.00 per year for the designated member and $350.00 per year for each additional member. 

An additional member to a current Service Provider Designated member.

This membership type applies to a public or private entity, to which the Foreign-Trade Zones Board has granted the privilege of establishing, operating and maintaining a foreign-trade zone or otherwise recognizes as a grantee; whose zone was established at least one year prior to submission of its application for membership in the Association; but which has no operator active with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Dues for membership in this category are $700.00 per year for the designated member and $350.00 per year for each additional member.

An additional member to a current Inactive Grantee Designated member.

A Grantee or Operator/User in their first year of Foreign-Trade Zones Board approval. Dues for membership in this category are $700.00 per year for the designated member and $350.00 per year for each additional member.

An additional member to a current Startup Designated member.

This member type is for corporations, partnerships, persons, organizations, institutions, civic entities, and public agencies with a policy or academic (but no commercial) interest in the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones program. Affiliate members have all the rights and benefits of other members except to hold a position on the board or as an officer, vote, or serve in a leadership capacity on committees. Dues for membership in this category are $250.00 per year.

This is a company membership for industry and trade association groups with a policy interest in the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones Program, willing to help advance NAFTZ policy advocacy positions. Associate members have all the rights and benefits of other members except to hold a position on the board or as an officer, vote, or serve in a leadership capacity on committees. Unlike other membership categories, associate membership is organization-based with no restriction on the number of individuals included under the membership, provided they are paid employees of the associate member. Dues for membership in this category are $500.00 per year.
