SPEAKER(s)

David M. Murphy is a partner in GDLSK (www.gdlsk.com) in the New York Office.  GDLSK is one of the largest firms in the U.S. dedicated to Customs and trade issues.  Mr. Murphy has more than twenty five years’ experience in handling complex cross-border issues with respect to Customs and trade including U.S. import and export control, international sanctions programs, drawback, and special duty programs (free trade agreements/foreign trade zones/bonded warehouses).  He represents clients before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control, U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry & Security, and other federal agencies.  He has acted as counsel in numerous acquisitions, civil and criminal proceedings, False Claims Act investigations, and litigation.   Mr. Murphy is a licensed U.S. Customs broker, Certified Customs Specialist (through the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA)), and an Accredited Zone Specialist (through the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones (NAFTZ)).  He is an active member of the NAFTZ as a speaker and moderator and member of the Program Committee.  He teaches a twice-yearly review course to assist people in preparation for the government licensing examination for U.S. Customs brokers.  He is a member of the bar of the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court, as well as the bars of the States of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, and numerous U.S. District Courts.

Jeremy Page is a founding partner of the Chicago-based international trade law firm, Page•Fura, P.C. With more than 40 years of experience in import, export and supply chain security, he provides counseling, strategic planning and advocacy to organizations of all sizes in their global compliance needs. Jeremy is a frequent speaker and has performed extensive training and counseling in such areas as import controls and compliance, forced labor/UFLPA tracing and reporting, tariff classification and engineering, valuation and transfer pricing, export licensing and compliance, sanctions/embargoes, USMCA, trade remedies (including Sections 232, 301 and IEEPA), trade enforcement and foreign-trade zones. In addition to his legal background, he is a member of the Illinois District Export Council and CBP's Trade Support Network as well as a licensed customs broker and both a certified and accredited zones specialist
