The Advocacy Zone: Why the NAFTZ Legislative Summit and Hill Meetings Matter

Each year, the U.S. FTZ community comes together at the NAFTZ Legislative Summit to strengthen our collective voice and focus on the policies that impact U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones. The Summit gives members the opportunity to take their U.S. FTZ story to Capitol Hill and share firsthand how the program impacts their operations and local communities. It is also an excellent opportunity to bring key members of your team to gain insight, connect directly with policymakers, and engage with peers from across the U.S. FTZ community.

That momentum continues through our Hill meetings, where members bring real-world experience directly to policymakers and help ensure that our perspectives are heard.

Your voice matters. There’s still time to register for the 2026 Legislative Summit. Full details and registration are available here.

If you want to learn more about how the Hill meetings work, listen to this recording with NAFTZ Board Chair, Katie Tangman, and NAFTZ Board member, Danielle Converse.
