The NAFTZ Online Community: Built for Connection, Collaboration, and Everyday Engagement

Over the past few months, I have shared updates on the upcoming NAFTZ Online Community—why it’s launching and what members can expect. As we move closer to launch, the focus now shifts from what the platform is to how members can use it as part of their everyday engagement with NAFTZ.

The NAFTZ Online Community is designed to be more than a message board or announcement hub. It will serve as a central space where members can connect with peers, exchange ideas, and stay engaged with committees and programs throughout the year, not just during in-person events.

Members can expect the NAFTZ Online Community to support:

  • Committee engagement, including dedicated spaces for committee discussions, updates, and collaboration
  • Peer-to-peer connection, allowing members to ask questions, share insights, and learn from others across the FTZ community
  • Ongoing conversation, extending discussions beyond webinars, meetings, and conferences
  • Targeted spaces, including groups for mentors, mentees, emerging leaders, and more

For many members, the Online Community will offer a new way to stay connected, whether that means checking in briefly to catch up on committee news, posting a question to peers, or engaging in a discussion sparked by recent policy or program developments.

As NAFTZ prepares for the platform’s launch, members are encouraged to think about how they want to engage. Participation can be as simple as observing conversations or as active as starting discussions and sharing resources. The goal is flexibility, accessibility, and meaningful connection.

More information, including access details and tips for getting started, will be shared in the coming weeks. NAFTZ looks forward to welcoming members into a space designed to support collaboration and strengthen the FTZ community year-round.
