About
Julie Pettit is the President of Arizona Gateway Logistics (est. 2015), a trade consulting and management firm. She is experienced in regulatory compliance, forming operational processes and procedures, and international supply-chain management.
At Arizona Gateway Logistics, Mrs. Pettit and her team work with clients to assess their logistics and trade programs. They conduct procedural and process audits aimed to improve performance in the supply-chain. Additionally, they regularly provide risk assessments and corrective action plans that gives clients viable risk mitigation options.
Prior to founding Arizona Gateway Logistics, Mrs. Pettit led international supply-chain teams in Customs Brokerage, complex manufacturing and dynamic distribution companies. She has held numerous management positions including Foreign-Trade Zone Program Manager, Sub-Zero (2011-2012), C-TPAT Compliance Manager at Nelson International (2005-2010), Manager of Logistics at KIK Virginia (2002-2003) and Director of Sourcing and Supply at Ericsson, Inc (1997-2001). While at Ericsson, she was the lead negotiator of the Sony-Ericsson Strategic Alliance, a multi-billion-dollar research and development agreement.
Mrs. Pettit is also an elected official and chair of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority Board in Yavapai County. This gives her a unique perspective on tax assessment and revenue collection challenges in Arizona.
Mrs. Pettit holds a Customs Broker License (1994); received a Master’s Certificate in Contract Management from George Washington University School of Business (Washington, DC); and completed a B.S. in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University (Phoenix). She is in the process of completing a capstone project which completes the requirements for an M.S. in Business Analytics, also from GCU.
