About
Alison adds value by drawing upon her legal education to research and understand complex regulatory requirements. Using this knowledge, Alison can thoroughly assess her clients’ trade compliance practices, questions, and concerns.
With experience spanning across both import and export, Alison has successfully guided her clients through various compliance audits and supported the development of new compliance programs, including FTZ implementation. Alison is also well-versed in the annual assessment and reporting requirements of Customs and Border Protection programs, such as CTPAT Trade Compliance and Foreign-Trade Zone compliance reviews.
Alison has experience supporting clients in a wide range of industries including telecommunications, aerospace, healthcare/pharmaceutical, primary metal, and consumer products on matters ranging from origin analysis, classification according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, classification according to and compliance with the EAR, classification according to and compliance with the ITAR, and duty mitigation strategies.
Alison is actively involved in the Wisconsin global trade community as she serves on the board of the Madison International Trade Association. Through this position, Alison creates opportunities for global trade practitioners throughout Wisconsin to network, learn about regulatory or policy changes, and share best practices.
