The NAFTZ Membership Perks webinar series was started in response to the questions NAFTZ received on the variety of benefits of joining the NAFTZ Team.  Welcome you joining us to learn from association insiders in how best to take advantage of all NAFTZ has to offer new and veteran members.  

This session will cover the latest programs NAFTZ has to offer with special highlight of social media engagement opportunities.

Lydia Chastain 

Lydia Chastain is a skilled Marketing Manager with a rich background in enhancing outreach and cultivating connections through roles at INzone and as Marketing Director at Fortune Academy.

An active participant in professional networks in Indianapolis, Lydia recently graduated from The International Center's James T. Morris Global Leadership Cohort and is a member of the Indiana Conference for Women’s Leadership Development Program. She also contributes to NAFTZ's committees and serves on CHIP Indianapolis's Marketing and Communications committee.

Originally from Greenwood, Indiana, Lydia has lived in Chicago, IL, and Leżajsk, Poland, before settling in Indianapolis with her partner, Sean, and their dogs, Diana and Pippin. Her experiences, including founding the Kappa Psi Sigma Kappa chapter at IUPUI, have enriched her professional growth.

Outside of work, Lydia coaches middle school basketball, enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, and reading crime novels. She thrives on taking calculated risks, forging connections, and staying ahead of marketing trends, driving innovation and delivering impactful results.


Tanna Johnson 

Tanna Johnson is a Global Trade specialist and member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Global Trade practice, where she addresses client needs as they pertain to international trade. Tanna has extensive experience in the foreign-trade zones space with over 12 years including both distribution and manufacturing activities. Tanna also has a background in related issues, prior disclosures, activation and designation activities, and analysis related to a variety of import matters, including first-sale, PGA’s, classification, tariff engineering, and customs valuation for US imports.

 

Tanna has been involved in setting up best practices for companies around the foreign-trade zone operation as well as creating/updating global trade import and conducting Customs audits. She has experience in project management for US and global-based projects.

 

Tanna assists clients with compliance focused reviews of their import operations as well as provides guidance on the customs regulations. Tanna has conducted both internal and external presentations and training sessions on foreign trade zone management, zone administration, inbonds, and first sale.


Tanna holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from National American University along with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Tanna has been a Licensed Customs Broker since 2015 and has held memberships with the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ) as well as the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA) and the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA). She is currently the Chair for the Membership committee while staying actively involved on two other committees and various sub committees with the NAFTZ organization and completed her certification as an Accredited Zone Specialist (AZS) in 2022.

 

As a Specialist with Copper Hill Inc., Alia Quinn provides consulting and client support in a variety of trade practices including classification, C-TPAT, foreign-trade zones, and post entry procedures, as well as industry best practices with extensive FTZ background and is a certified zone specialist (CZS).

As the Documentation Manager with PointTrade Services, Inc., now a Copper Hill Inc. company, Alia Quinn oversees the day-today record keeping and documentation compliance program for PTSI’s internal operations. She is also involved with the implementation of company and client policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices. Using her decade of expertise in the foreign-trade zone industry, Ms. Quinn provides knowledge and training to PTSI’s team members to review processes and documentation functions, guiding them in company and client compliance activities. Ms. Quinn has hands-on experience in the operations and day-today activities of foreign-trade zones in a variety of industries and is knowledgeable in Customs and FTZ regulations. A Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, and Accredited Zone Specialist, Ms. Quinn holds a B.A. each in both Psychology and Sociology from the University of South Florida. Ms. Quinn is a member of the National Association of ForeignTrade Zones (NAFTZ), American Association of Importer and Exporters (AAEI), National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America, Inc., (NCBFAA), and International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA).
